Thermal Circulatory Sensing

Sagatech has participated in a specialized research project to develop technology for thermal circulatory sensing. The research is exploring the relationship between short term occlusion and arterial dilation. It may have application in the diagnosis and evaluation of cardiovascular disease.

The system consists of an adapted pneumatic blood pressure cuff, an array of thermal sensors, and PC based software application for controlling the system and displaying the data. Control and power for the pneumatic pump and the thermal sensors is provided through a USB port.

In-house 3D printing was used to make a prototype housing for the sensor array and electronics. All electronic circuitry and wiring was assembled in our facility.
